Des mécanismes physiologiques protègent nos organismes des variations de poids, et le cerveau intègre des signaux internes et externes pour coder le comportement alimentaire en fonction de nos besoins énergétiques. Avec l’augmentation du surpoids et des troubles alimentaires au sein de la population, il est important de comprendre ces mécanismes et leurs limites. Dans cet exposé, j’aborderai les nouvelles découvertes dans le domaine de la neurobiologie de l’alimentation et je discuterai des mécanismes protégeant le poids corporel de la suralimentation dans un contexte d’abondance de nourriture et de signaux alimentaires permanents dans notre environnement.
